The Magnolia's are Blooming

Hi Everyone
Well...the magnolia tree's aren't yet blooming in my part of the country but the Magnolia stamps sure are. I placed my first order of Magnolia's last week and received them just the other day.
I'm so looking forward to creating stuff with this line. I've been fortunate to have gotten some stamped images from RAK's and swaps and have grown to really like these stamps.
Today's card is a Tilda. I'm not quite sure which one she is. She's on her way to school.
This is a very straight forward card. No shading with Copics just straight coloring. So nothing fancy.
I dug out my Signo pen again. It's great how that little bit of doodling adds to a card I think.
Thanks for stopping in and taking a look around.
Have a great day!

I've had a long weekend spent out of the city and I feel refreshed and ready to go. I had a great visit out on the farm. Lot's of cow's, deer, baby barn kittens and LOTS of quiet! It's so nice to have a place to go to clear the mind.
For today I wanted to do a quick card from Forest Friends.
Thanks for taking a look and don't forget that new stamps will be available on April 1st at

Wonderful Friends

Hi Everyone
I've been so grateful for the wonderful friendships I've made through this funny thing called blogs. In my wildest dreams I never would have thought such a thing.
I wanted to share a cute RAK I received from my dear friend ({{hugs}}).
This is a great purse that can hold cards. It has some great Tilda stamped images and some cool brads that I can't wait to use. Plus...the adorable HK on the purse...and in my favorite color. WOW I'm loving it! I'm just getting into the Tilda stamps so I was super excited to see them.
Thanks Liann - you rock girlie!
Thanks for stopping by everyone,

Another Addition

Hi Everyone
I've added another piece to the ever growing desk organizer set.
This is a mini filing cabinet. I found this great tutorial 's blog. I was surprised at how big this really turned out. I added some stickles in one of the cabinets so you could get a sense of the space and height.
I altered mine drawers just a little as I didn't have 12 x 12 cardstock that it called for so I modified the drawer size. I think it turned out ok.
Make sure and check out Holly's. It was very easy to follow.
Thanks for taking a look.

Another day to organize

Hi Everyone
Here is item 2 in my quest to create some cute organizational items for my desk.
This is the mini magazine holder. I'm sure you've seen it before. I did one a while back using a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock HERE that will hold A2 cards. I also have a pattern for a holder of A2 cards that used 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock. When I purchased the kit from Inking Idaho it was the 12 x 12 patter that was included in the instructions. I've had the 12 x 12 patter for sometime that I found off of a blog. I'm still searching for it so if I find it I'll post a link so you can create one yourself. The construction of this holder is quite simple really. It's just three of the mini magazine holders taped together. I used sticky strip of course. Then just add a few panels of CS and DSP to the front and sides. It's a snap. Literally the hardest part was getting each piece lined up with each other. You know that sticky strip..once it's down..it's down.
I'll have another cute accessory to add to this set tomorrow so stay tuned.
Thanks for stopping by.

I see some organization on the way

Hi Everyone
I ran into this super cute chest on SCS and had to find out how to get the pattern. I'm usually really lazy about measuring things out myself so I was super excited to find blog
Becky is a full time Stampin' Up! demonstrator (oh wouldn't that be great) that comes up with these super cute projects. Check out her blog if you are interested in what she has to offer.
This is the cute little chest. It's really simple when you break it down. Just a few box bottoms with few sleeves then tape them all together...slap on a couple of panels of CS and you got it.
I'll have more goodies to share in the next few days. I can't wait to load this thing up with brads and such.
The second picture is to show how much room is in each drawer will hold.
Thanks for stopping by.

From the Desk of....

Hi Everyone
I put together a quick box that will hold a 4" x 6" notepad. You could also just add some loose
paper. I'm always writing notes and always looking for paper to write stuff down on.
I though this would be great to have on my desk...in the kitchen....in the office, places like that.
This was really easy to put together. Best of all it's made from one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock. It takes a few score lines and a few cuts and that's pretty much it.
Super simple.
I originally saw this on SCS. This uses Lauren Meader's Timeless Templates from PTI. The Desk Top Organizer.
Thanks for taking a look.

When Lucky Charm's not so Magically Delicious

Hi Everyone
Ever had your little one eat to many Lucky Charm's and soon regret it?
Well, I don't have any kids but I do remember eating those as a kid and having a bowl to many.
This cute stamp is from Taylored Expressions . I ordered all three sets when they came out and am just getting to stamp them up.
The cute 'Magically Delicious' sentiment was also from Taylored Expressions .
Hope you all are seeing rainbow's soon as Spring comes in.
Have a great day.

I Can Already Smell the Jelly Beans

Hi Everyone
Easter is just around the corner. How many bags of Easter candy have you had already?
I made a midnight trip to Wal-Mart last night and unfortunately walked down the holiday isle with all the Easter candy. Augh! I was strong and didn't buy any of it. But..oh it smelled so good.
I wanted to do something cute with the new from and I ran into a bag that I thought was so cute. It's made using the Nestie die cuts. I saw this bag on and couldn't wait to give it a try.
I used the largest scallop die and the larges oval die. I cut a strip of paper about 1 1/2" to make the bag part. I made tiny slits and folded them in to secure to each side scallop circle.
I added some ribbon to the small strip of card stock for the handle. I think it serves two purposes. If you have paper that's a little light weight if you add a strip of ribbon it gives it more structure. It also gives it a nice added dimension to the project.
Go check out the digital stamp of Easter Anya
Have a great weekend!

Another Gorjuss Day

Hi Everyone
The temperature if finally changing and I can smell the sweet smell of Spring coming our way.
I feel a bit guilty for not doing more work with the Gorjuss Girl line. They are really super cute.
I read on the Sugar Nellie blog that they will have the individual stamps for same at the end of the month and will have a second series out soon too.
I brought a few months ago the Hello Kitty frame Sizzix die and I'm finally trying it out. I think it's really neat and you might see this same technique with the circles in the future.
I used my Copics to color her in and for the shading. I also used a Gelly Roll pen to glam her up a bit. I also used the Gelly Roll pen to add some doodles and outlines.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for taking a look.
Have a great day!

Those Cupcakes

Hi Everyone
I've been collecting these Riley and Sophie images and have fallin in love with all the antics Riley and Sophie gets into.
I made this card for a friend who is working on getting fit. I think she'll get a kick out of it.
She loves sweets so I think she'll be able to relate.
I was also just experimenting with adding a lot of layered pieces to see what the final result would be. No specific sketch just throwing it down. It's kind of liberating to do that. But...thank goodness for sketches, they sure get you out of a bind in you are stuck on coming up with a layout.
Have a great evening.

St. Patty I Almost Forgot You

Hi Everyone
I've got so many stamped images I didn't even realize I had this cute little Changito!
I've been wanting to use the corduroy buttons from SU for some time and I think they just add to the madness of this busy card.
The pattern paper is from my friend Mandy. Love it. I also used a uni-ball SIGNO pen to add some doodles.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.

A Day Full of Dolls

Hi Everyone
I've got a double post today. I'm feeling back to myself and ready to start stamping up a storm again.
This is a super cute stamp set that I picked up at Achivers last week. It's by Hero Arts and it's just called Dolls. (Hero Arts CL289)
When I saw it I just fell for it. I really liked the card I came up with for a couple of reasons. First the stamps were so easy to color. I didn't do any fancy coloring or blending. Just straight coloring. I also had a wonderful RAK that I received from Mandy (Hi Mandy) that had a bunch of scrapbook paper. The background paper I used from this card came from that RAK. I also used something called Fozz Felt. I've never heard of this but I'm loving it. I got this as a RAK from my sweet friend Jenn (Hi Jenn) when I was up in MN last week. This stuff is really neat because of a couple of things. First it is self adhesive. Hello!! Brilliant. I can't imagine trying to adhere this down to a card. Secondly, it is fuzzy. This is my first try at using it so I just stuck a little on the bottom of the card (it's the white flowers).
I went a bit crazy with the pop dots but I love the effect of dimension.
Thanks for checking things out.
Hope you have a great day.

Another Day in the Forrest

Hi Everyone
I promise to put the Forrest Friends set from TGF down for a few days. LOL
I just can't get out of the forest. :-)
I was checking out Etsy on Sunday night and ran across this great digital scrapbook paper.
Here is the Etsy store
I was eager to buy this paper after I saw the set that had the wood grain paper in multiple colors and then the set that had the cute pink owl's with yellow background.
For the cards today I used the wood grain in orange with the little squirrels and the owls for the owl card.
These were really quick cards. I wanted to make some red squirrels so I experimented blending an orange, brown and red Copic to try and get the effect.
For the owl card I used a Glaze pen from Sakura. My friend Jenn introduced me to these. I'm really enjoying them. They give a glaze affect like embossing but not as prominent as embossing. They are really fun to use.
Have a great night everyone.

An Army of One

Hi Everyone
Hope you had a great weekend. I've had this cute little Hero Ian for some time and just couldn't come up with a cute way to use him. Then I ran through the clearance isle at Michael's and saw these camouflage thank you cards. I decided to cut the card up and use the front to get the camouflage design. I then just cut out the Thank You and used some dimensional to pop it up a bit. It was a super quick card..nothing fancy but I think I'm over the hump on how to use this cute little guy.
Hope you have a great Monday.
Thanks for taking a look.

A little birdy told me....

Hi Everyone,
Hope everyone is having a great day and is ready for the weekend.
I've had a long week. I've been in Minneapolis this week for business and WOW..was it cold. One morning it was -5 degrees and this Missouri girl wasn't to fond of that. The trip was great fun outside of the weather for a couple of reasons. First I met an SCS friend...Jennifer CR.
It was great fun to meet Jenn in person! (Hi Jenn!) Jen and I were talking through SCS and she made a comment that she wished I lived in MN...it was so great that I had the business trip planned...I packed up my stamps and we arranged to met. I love when things turn out that way.
So Jenn and I met and had a great time stamping and the second best thing was that Jenn took me to Achivers. I've never been to Archives so it was such a blast!!
I love the community of stamping and scrapbooking. I've met some great girls.
It is great to be home today...I originally was to get back Thursday but...due to some oversight on my part I missed my plane in Chicago and had to stay the night. YUCK!!!
It's great to be home and back on schedule.
This card for today is from the Forest Friends set from The Greeting Farm. He's super cute.
This is just a quick tag that I thought would look great with a gift.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend!

A little Shepherd Boy

Hi Everyone

Just a quick post today. I'm still working with the little shepherd boy set. He is so super cute and a lot of fun to color in using Copics. I think this will be a great image to use during Easter.
I added just a few pearl's to soften up the card a little bit as well.
Thanks for stopping in.
Have a great warm day!

A Fairly Sweet Visit

HI Everyone
Hope you are all doing well. I'm in a place this week that has been very very cold with some snow! I hope you are all in a warm place having nice weather.
I really love the new Fairy stamps from TGF. They are great to use Copics and I think I'll be able to use it for a lot of different type of occasions.
Have a great day. Thanks for stopping by.

A Gorjuss Day

Hi Everyone
I was so glad that I pre-ordered the Gorjuss Girl stamps from Sugar Nellie stamps back in February. I just received them this week and let me just say WOW.
These images stamp us so perfect and they are so darn cute. I believe they will be selling the individual images around the end of the month.
For the first card I used the SC218 sketch layout. I usually don't gravitate to purple but for some reason when I saw this stamp I thought...PURPLE!
The second card is a sketch layout from SC216. Kind of cute...I'm not to jazzed about it. Something missing I think...I'll have to see what I can come up with.
The last card is another sketch layout from SC 215. I guess I was in a SCS Sketch Challenge mood today. :-)
Thanks for taking a look. I'll have some more Gorjuss Girl cards with the other three images through the week.
Also....come back tomorrow....I'll be offering some Yummy Blog Candy! I promise you won't be disappointed.
See ya tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping in.

Miss Anya in all her Style

Hi Everyone
I'm just getting a chance to try out the new Miss Anya stamps. They are a lot different in proportion than the Anya stamps so I was a little stumped how I'd use these tall thin girls.
I usually always have some notepads laying around my craft room and I thought it was about time I use them. I get these note pads at Office Depot. They are 4" x 6" and come in a pack of 12.
For our Brown haired Miss Anya I decided to sparkle her up by using a Gelly Roll pen. Let me tell you I love that pen. I got it as a gift when I ordered some card stock from Gina K. I turn to this pen when I need a little something and don't want to use Stickles.
I also embossed the cardstock and traced around the embossed background. I like how that turned out...not sure you can see it in this photo.
For Blonde Miss Anya I used some Prima flowers...Oh yes...I did get a little carried away at Micheal's last weekend on flowers...So I've got a lot to use up. This card also has a great corduroy button for the center of the flower.
And you guessed it....I used those nesties. I bought the long rectangle set for a special project that I'll share in a few days. It's one that I saw off another blog and I really loved.
Hope everyone is making it through the week. It's half way over!
Thanks for stopping by and checking things out.
Have a great day,

He was a little Shepherd boy

Hi Everyone
I was so excited today to see the Shepherd boy stamp set that was just released Sunday from in my mailbox. My Mum is a big weaver and always has baskets of raw wool laying around...looms all over the house in every room with all kinds of great projects she's working on.
So anytime I see a stamp with a Lamb I know my Mum will just love it. Martha Stewart's got a line of punches and she had a lamb punch..I gave that to Mum at Christmas and that was her favorite thing...not that Dooney & Burke purse...that darn punch... LOL Oh she's a mess just like me. Hmmm maybe I'm a mess just like her? Mum...you better be carrying that punch in that bag! :-) Love ya Mum!
Anyway I ripped the package open..cut the stamps out and started at it. I didn't get a chance to participate in TGF sketch challenge a few weeks ago so I thought I'd give it a try now and see what I could come up with.
I think this turned out pretty cute. I love this pastel paper. It is from one of my favorite companies K&Company. The pad is a Brenda Walton and it's the BW Small Wonders Girl.
Super cute. I also found a great way to store my nesties so I am noticing that I'm using them much more these days.
Anyway - Hope everyone is having a great day. Let's all hope that Spring comes soon.
Thanks for taking a look,

Serving Up Something Special

Hi Everyone
So little Chef Ian was busy today cooking up all kinds of wonderful treats for Marie's Birthday this week. Did you know the great Artist that brings us all the amazing The Greeting Farm stamps is having a birthday this Saturday? Go check out Marie and see what she is up to at
So Chef Ian has picked up a great big Giant flower to put on the birthday table as the centerpiece. I think he's ready for winter to be over and hoping for Fall! He'll have to wait awhile though. I wonder where he had this flower flown in from this time of year? He is resourceful.
Thanks everyone for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
