Hi Everyone,
I've not posted for a few day's so I've got some great stuff I wanted to share.
I was cruising the blog's of some of my favorite sites and somehow ran across a blog
that unfortunately I didn't write down or save to my favorites. So I'm unable to give
credit to the incredible person who was thinking outside of the box.
This is what I'll call a box carousel. Not sure why but it just sounded good. When I saw
this it was make up of CS and DP. I just wanted to see how the mechanics worked of getting
it created and do you know....when I tell you this you won't believe it. This is just a box bottom but instead of adhering the flaps down to make the box you just pull them to the center, punch a whole, thread some ribbon and there you go. I didn't realize just how great this was until I started to create it. So here's the scoop. I used a 12x12 piece of DP. Scored once side at 4" and at 8" then repeated that on the other three sides of the DP. So you end up with 9 squares.
After that, punch some holes, thread some ribbon and away you go. I'd suggest using CS as it is much stronger than DP.
Hope you enjoy,
Tammy

Hi Everyone
I've finally make it. The pilot project I've been working on for months is finally underway. I've got a great team so I'm looking forward to the pilot. I wanted to give the team some thank you gifts and support materials for the pilot so I created some cute notebook covers, post-it notes covers and packages some pens, highlighters, calculators and of course candy.
Here are a couple of the sets I put together.
Hope you enjoy.

Hi Everyone
I'm so excited this evening. I took a trip to Target and found some great organizational boxes. It was just what I was looking for.
The card's I make today are due to my love of the So Saffron CS from Stampin' Up!.
Anytime I can find DP to match it I'm a happy girl. Nothing fancy but I thought they turned out pretty good.
I also have a picture of the inside of the card. A while ago I saw
a card that had been decorated on the inside and I loved it. So this is
my first attempt at adding decor to the inside of a card.
Hope you have a great weekend and Enjoy the cards.

Designer Paper

Hi Everyone
I've got to stop buying so much designer paper. I've got ton's of the stuff so I've been trying to get cards made out of it. I'm working on creating some boxed sets of cards for my friends and family. Everyone is always talking about not having Get Well or Sympathy cards so that's my goal the next couple of days.
Here is a card I threw together using some chipboard and some great little brads.
Hope you enjoy.

Hi Everyone

I spend some additional time playing with the Rose Cottage Simply Scrappin' paper.

I've really enjoyed the kit. I think I'll have to place another order before the kit retires in August.

Hope you enjoy.

Carpe Diem

Hi Everyone
So I must admit I can take no credit for this card what so over. I just cut a couple sheets of CS and slapped on some stickers.
I recently ordered some of the Simply Scrappin' kits and I can't believe how beautiful the paper is and the accessories. This card is made from the Rose Cottage scrapbooking kit. So for those of you who have ordered the kit this card should look very very familiar. The front cover of the package has scrapbook and card examples using the kit. I copied that layout almost to the T.
Anyway I love how the card turned out. There are two pieces of CS and one piece of DP all the other items on the card are stickers from the kit! Who knew? I just love this card.
Hope you enjoy.

Dry Emboss Challenge OCC

Hi Everyone

I've been keeping an eye on the Our Creative Corner blog. This week they have a Dry Emboss challenge. The challenge is to use some type of dry embossing on your card. I decided to take a very literal interpretation and emboss the whole card. No Stamping! It was hard but I dug out my embossing folder and went old school with my card. Check out the OCC site at

Hope you like it.

Punny Thoughts

Hi Everyone
The Very Punny set is one of my fav's because it's so easy to use.
I was going through my supplies and noticed I had a lot of pastel CS and some pastel ribbon so I thought I'd use it up.
Hope you enjoy.

Circle Punch Therapy

Hi Everyone
Here is my attempt to use my circle punch as the accent and not DP. I think it turned out ok. I think using a darker brown would have looked nicer but all I had was Close to Cocoa and it's just a bit to yellow.
Hope you like it.

Mojo Monday # 46

Hi Everyone
Wow...this layout sort of threw me for a loop this week. I've looked at it since Monday and finally came up with something. Not sure why I was so stuck this week.
When I woke up this morning it was a gray and rainy day so I took the idea and decided to do the challenge in grey, black and white. I also dug out some of my more alternative stamp images.
Hope you enjoy.

Big Fish

Hi Everyone
So I had a great time at the lake. We had a great fish fry on Sunday afternoon. There aren't to many things better than a weekend at the lake topped off with a fish fry.
This is a picture of Gary. He caught a Buffalo fish on a limb line. I couldn't believe it. His granddaughter came up to the cabin and said that her grandpa had caught a fish this big. We all thought she was exaggerating of course so we went down to the lake and to our surprise you was right. Gary was standing there with a huge Buffalo fish and a slightly smaller Catfish. After a slow week of fishing the Buffalo fish was caught on a limb line and the Catfish was caught on a trout line. Wow what a fun weekend!
I made this 6x6 card for Gary's wife to remember the weekend.
Hope you enjoy.

More Umbrella Fun

Hi Everyone

I went to town on this Stampin' Up set....The Fine Print.
I thought it was so cute and I came up with some neat ideas for it. It's really a good stamp set to showcase your great DSP. This is some I had from a pack of K&COMPANY, Any Butler Designer Mat Pad. It's from the AB Lotus Mat Pad. I've really enjoyed it.
Hope you enjoy.

Friendship

Hi Everyone
Hope everyone had a great and safe weekend. I spent mine at the lake. It was so wonderful. Great weather and lots of fellowship. I've got some great pictures of some fish that was caught that I'll post tomorrow. You won't believe it!
So on this Monday I find myself thankful for the friends that I have. I'd especially like to thank my friend Angie who let me come over and dig through some of her old Stampin' Up! sets.
Thanks Ang.
Enjoy

Friday Full of Flowers

Hi Everyone

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a safe weekend.

I was admiring the flowers in my neighbors backyard from my deck and thinking about how much time she spends to create such a wonderful space. What's even better is I don't have to get any dirt under my fingernails but I can still enjoy her flower garden space.

So in lieu of my inability to keep any kind of plant alive (even though I try every year) I decided to create some cards with some Stampin' Up Two-Step Stamping floral stamps.

Hope you enjoy.

It's Christmas in July

Hi Everyone

So it's that time of year to celebrate Christmas in July! It's also that time of year to start thinking about what design ideas you'd like to incorporate for your Christmas card list.

I started looking through some different Holiday stamps and Holiday paper and came up with this card. It was super fast and uncomplicated.

Hope you enjoy.

Dacning

Hi Everyone

So I'll have to admit it....I'm addicted to the show 'So You Think You Can Dance.'

I love it so much that I DVR it!

After watching it once and going back and watching it again I was inspired to create this card. I used a brass stencil for the dress on the hanger. I hope you can see it. Then I remembered I had a stamp block from Postmodern Designs that was all Dance sayings.

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks to you

Hi Everyone

It was a stressful day at work so I wanted to unwind and make an uncomplicated card.

I thought this design was simple, fast and straight to the point.

I bought a stamping magazine from Barnes & Noble a few weeks ago that was printed in England and it had some designer paper included in the mag. The Purple/White paper came in the mag.

I thought this turned out pretty good. It's nice and quick for those moments you find yourself needing a quick card made before the post gets picked up.

Hope you enjoy.

Hello

Hi Everyone

I was inspired by the cover of the magazine Creative Concept's Stamping.Stationary.And Scrapbooking 2008 2nd Quarter Issue.

The cover had black, white, and pink cards and pages. It got me in the mood to try a black and white layout.

Here is what I came up with.

Spinner Card

Hi Everyone

I learned how to do this spinner card from a stamp swap. I thought it was so cute.
One of my peers from work just damaged his platella so I thought I'd send this card his way.
I used a standard size card.

Hope you enjoy!

12x12 box/bag

Hi Everyone
I've got a treat for you today. This is a project I did this morning. I thought it was so cute and best of all it uses only a 12x12 sheet of cardstock to construct the box.
It will be great to use if you are stamping someone a set of cards. This is a great box/bag for them to keep them in.

The instruction are as follows:

Step 1: Score one side of the 12x12 cardstock at 3" and 9"

Step 2: Score the other side of the cardstock at 4 1/2" and 7 1/2

Let me know if you need instructions on how to fold.

** One thing to note. You must use a true 12 x 12 piece of Cardstock. The paper I used was a 12 x 12 but as you can see from the top it wasn't truly a 12 x 12 piece. So just make sure you measure your CS before you start.

Enjoy
